I am a self-taught artist who uses color to tell my story.
ARTIST STATEMENT:
My love of nature started when I was a very young child.
As I grew, my passion for science evolved, as did my enthusiasm for design.
What others may consider disparate interests,
I join to create my paintings.

I am pleased to announce that my pastel painting, " The Dinosaur Hunter" was selected in the Meritorious Selection in the 2025 Richeson75 Figure/Portrait competition jury selection.
As figurative work is a small section of my repertoire, I feel very honored to be included with those who are portrait/figurative artists.

Why do you sign your name in an aqua color, when you used to sign in red?
I started signing in red when I turned fifty. When I turned sixty, I started signing in aqua on recommendation by our dearly loved granddaughters, Clara and Reagan.
What’s your first memory of doing something creative?
Drawing pictures as a very young child

Design, juxtaposition of color, challenges
